About Me

Heading into the summer after my sophomore year of high school, I was a skinny kid with a big dream. I wanted to row in college at a high-level Division 1 program. Considering where I was physiologically and looking at the standards I needed to hit on the erg in about a year, I realized it was going to be a tough journey and I needed help to achieve my goal. I was fortunate enough to have excellent coaches that put me on the right path. With their guidance, I dropped 33 seconds on my 2K in 14 months and got recruited to my dream school, Stanford University. 

Most school and club coaches don’t focus on the erg. However, if you want to row at the next level, you need to improve your erg scores. Wherever you are in your erg training, whether you have just started or have a few years of experience, I will meet you where you are and help you work towards achieving your goals. I provide personalized 1-on-1 training at the best price on the market.

What does a Ranger Rowing Performance program include?

Personalized Training Plan

For each athlete I work with I make a training plan that…

  • Emphasizes building power and properly developing the aerobic base

  • Incorporates strength training for building muscle and injury prevention

  • Identifies and strengthens the athlete’s physiological weaknesses

  • Includes a proper taper for a 2K

Technical Coaching

Proper technique and power application on the erg are often overlooked. Most athletes can unlock free speed on the erg by learning how to use the machine more effectively. Programs will consist of film review and Zoom coaching sessions on the erg.

Recruiting Guidance

The college recruiting process can be stressful and difficult to navigate at times. Having recently gone through the process, I have a unique perspective. I assist athletes with this process.
